I'm not mad, but u all might. Just thought I'd let you all know that kc8pnl and other admins use there position to look at your personal information. Just thought I'd let you all know.
um, first of all, KC is not an admin. he's a community leader, and second of all, I use to be a community leader and we don't have access to your personal info, not even your passwords because they are incripted.
I can also safely say that we don't abuse our power. the only information we have is your name, and e-mail address. Like Rdfreak said, we can't even see passwords.

Personally, I really don't give a shit. I don't have anything, or said anything, on here that is so private.
i won't and never think that either admins or cls will view on our personal information. i mean, as long as you aren't harm the zone, or any other people's computer, i think they won't bother to know who you are.

as long as you guys don't give us a reason to look, we're not gonna bother you. People need to realize that us cl's aren't biased. We don't play favorites. If you screw up, you're going to hear from us.

As for passowrds, no, generally if they use adopted methods nobody can ever see your password, just the encrypted password, it can be changed and reset but it cannot be decrypted, that's standard unix practices.
News flash, of course admins could read your private qn's and messages if they wanted to, they run the sight. Your isp can read your email, and I"d bet anything that aim and msn have something in place allowing them to read instant message traffic if they want. Bottom line if you want privacy use a phone, and even that isn't completely secure since it can be tapped if there's a governmental reason, if you want true privacy, meet face to face.

there's a difference between expressing opinions and making false statements. What bugs me is when people fail to take in to acount the amount of work us community leaders do. I know that on the outside it doesn't always seem as though we do that much, but I wonder what would happen if we stopped doing our job for a week? Hey other Cl's, what do you think?

I think the rebuilding the zone story is amusing, myself.
For the record, here's the deal with personal information. Community leaders can see what you've put as your real name and email address. They can't change your username or adjust what points you have. They can't look at your private mail or quicknotes. Account passwords are hashed, so no one can tell what they are.
The admins are myself and J-Squared. Since we have access to the database, it is theoretically possible for us to access anything on the site. I mention this in the interest of full disclosure. Before you all start scrolling down to post a reply, think about this for a second.
Their are over 1.6 million quicknotes and just over 20000 private messages as of now. Yours is just one of many, and personally, I have many other things that I'd rather do with my time than riffle through the personal lives of people who I, for the most part, don't even know. As for people who I know, if I want to know something, I'll ask.

Don't you guys think that just because a website or company or person can do something, that doesn't mean they will do it? You can fear they will all you want if you like anxiety, but I ahve better things to do than worry about who will do what because they can. Really, I don't go around saying stuff on this site that are going to incriminate me unless you ahve a real active imagination, so I'm not anxious about it.
I don't think the Admins or CLs do that. Guess that's one of the rumours again, people love gossip. It's ridiculous, I don'T believe it.
Really, it's just another case of somebody coming on and disturbing things. The original post says this person got their account disabled for it, so I wonder if it's time to let this topic die?
You already can find that out by seing that this users profile is disabled. Lol.

as for passwords, fuck, why shouldn't the admins know our passwords? afterall, it's their site, not ours.
Some people just don't seem to realize how much work the zone probably takes, and no, I don't have a clue, but I can be pretty damn sure.
Also, they're are 3 disabled accounts from this board, I find that rather amusing, though I think it's coincidence

Stevens: This is very immature of you to automatically make the assumption that the Admins and the Community Leaders over the site look into peoples private lives meaning their files and passwords. I'm sure they have other responsibilites off the zone that needs attending to and they desverve much respect and many thanks for everything that they have contributed to this site.
I think for one they have the right to look over the data or passwords before accpting new members to the site on account in the past and even til this day. People have been making multiple accounts to screw around with others and that quite frankly is pathetic of them for doing so. Also this is their site not yours, mine, or anyone else's.
Stevens: if your that damn insecure about this particular issue then why the hell did you becime a member to this site? All the other sites over net are just like this one storing your private information in their databases. ...even after your a member they still have that right to look over your data and password when it's absolutely neccessary of course. Like I said they don't look over all this just for the hell of it ya know.
No Garret, I'm not drunk dude but from all that mispelling in post 28 I made you'd think I had quite a bit to drink. lol I was in a rush sometimes it logs me out of the site when I send it and it doesn't get posted what a pain. I try to think about what I'm going to write before even posting.

I wasn't trying to be disrespectful. But I saw the "account disabled" thing under his name and figured everyone had noticed it.
Sorry if I got defensive I just didn't know until now and got mad that people made assumptions about me knowing something I didn't even know.
